Sony Ericsson VH300 user manual - English version














The Clip-on Blustooffr. Handsfree VH300 can be connected to any device with Bluetooth wireless technology that supports the handsfrao or headset profile. This User guide focuses on use with a Sony Ericsson mobile phone.

Charging the headset

Before using the VH300 for the /1 you need to charge it with the supplied charger or your phone charger, see figure 3. For compatible charger, see figure 3.

Turning on and off the headset

To turn on the headset

Press and 00 000 Me on/off key (see figure 2) until the indi.tor light shows a steady green erred light. If the light is red, the headset needs charging. After 3 seconds, the light turns off a. the headset is on.

To turn off the headset

Press and hold down the on/off key until the Indicator light shows a steady grater red light. If the lIght ,s red, the headset needs charging. After 2 seconds, Me light turns off and the headset taco.

Pairing the headset

Before you can use the headset it h. to be paired once with your phone After a successful pairin9. the headset automatically connects to the phone when it is on a. wiMin range.

To pair the headset with your phone

1. Turn on the Bluetooth function in the phone. For Instructons, .e the phone User guide.

2. Place the phone within 20 cm (8 Inches) of the headset.

3. Press and hold down the on/off key until the ,dcator lIght fl.hes green and red alternately.

4. The first time you tum on the headset it automatically enters pairing mode.

5. Add the headset to your phone as described in your phone User guide. The passcode is 0000.

To pair the headset with another phone

1. Turn off the headset if it is turn. on.

2. Repeat the instructions for how to paw the headset with your phone.

Calling

When you have paired the headset with your phone, you can make and receive calls as long as the headset is tumed on.

Solid objects, walls and a greater distance than 5 metres (16.5 feet) can affect the sound quality negatively.

To make a call

Use the phone keys to dial the number as normal. The call is automatically activated in the headset.

To coda call

Press the cal handing key briefly.

To answer a call

Press the call handling key hr fly

To reject a call (not possible with a second incoming call)

Press and hold down the call handng key until

you hear a short beep (after 2 seconds).

To radial the last number

Double-ask the call handing key.

To answer a second call

Press the at handing key. The ongang call W put on hold.

To switch between two calls

Press and hold down the call handling key ontrl you hear a beep.

To turn off the microphone (mute)

Press both co con keys simultaneously. Mute is indicated with a beeping sou.. Repeat to tum on the ncrophone again.


To make a call using voice commands

Press the cal handling key briefly, wait for a beep and say your command.

Note: Make sure voire commands are enabled and recorded in your phone before you use them.

Transferring sound

To transfer sound from the phone to the headset

During a call, press the call handling key briefly. The sou. is transferred to the headset.

To transfer sound from the headset to the phone

Battery

A new, or infrequently used, battery could have reduced capacity. It may need to be recharged a number of times.

When the battery needs charging, the indicator

light flashes red and you hear a low beep. If you

do not charge the headset, it automatically tums off.

To check the battery status

Press the on oft key briefly:

one red flash - the battery needs chargIng soon

two green flashes - the battery 0 half full

three green flashes - the battery is fully charged

Resetting the headset

To reset the headset

1. Turn off the headset.

2. Press a. hold down the power key until the indi.tor light flash. red and gr.n alternately.

3. Press and hold down the power key and the call handling key simultaneously until the headset turns off.

4. Pair the headset with the phone in the same way as before.

Troubleshooting

The headset is not responding

The capacity of Me battery may be lovv if the headset has not b.n used for a long time. You need to charge the headset several times to get back to the original capacity.

Warning! //you do not plan louse the product for a long time charge the battery until you see three green f.shes. Turn off the product before storing ft.
